Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving feed additive green emulsifier from spirulina and bile acid singly and in combination. This study used a Completely Randomized Experimental Method (CRD), with 4 treatments and each treatment consisted of 5 replications. The parameters observed included feed consumption, protein digestibility, and nitrogen retention. The feed treatment trial in this study used green emulsifier from spirulina and bile acid which were given singly and in combination with the same concentration of 0.1% on the protein digestibility of laying hens. The results showed that the addition of green emulsifier from spirulina and bile acid singly and in combination had no significant effect (P>0.05) on feed consumption, protein digestibility, and nitrogen retention. The results of the study concluded that the addition of green emulsifier from spirulina and bile acid to feed singly and in combination with a level of 1 g/kg feed did not affect feed consumption, protein digestibility, and nitrogen retention.
