The availability of forage feed throughout the year is a key factor in supporting livestock productivity, especially during the dry season when forage production decreases significantly. One solution to overcome this limitation is silage production. This study aims to compare the physical quality and palatability of corn stover silage stored using vacuum and non-vacuum plastic bags at Ananta Farm Sukabumi. The research was conducted from October 26 to November 16, 2024, using an experimental method with two treatments. The observed parameters included color, texture, aroma, mold contamination, and feed intake. The results showed that using vacuum plastic helped maintain a greenish-yellow color, compact texture, fresh sour aroma, and low mold contamination (0.26%) compared to non-vacuum plastic. In addition, feed intake for silage stored in vacuum plastic reached 170 grams, higher than non-vacuum plastic (155 grams). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the vacuum plastic storage method is more effective in maintaining the physical quality and improving the palatability of corn stover silage. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for farmers to optimize silage storage and improve feed production efficiency.
