Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between body length and chest circumference with cattle body weight. The research was carried out at PT. Tunas Jaya Raya Abadi Nganjuk. The study used 12 cattle consisting of 6 Simmental cattle and 6 Limousin cattle with an average age of ± 2 years and bull. This study used a primary data collection method that was carried out directly in the field. The parameters used were the body measurements of Simmental and Limousin cattle, including body length (BL), chest circumference (CC), and body weight (BW). The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of Microsoft Excel 2010 to determine the coefficient of determination (R2), correlation (r), and multiple linear regression equation.  The results of the Simmental cattle data analysis showed a correlation (r) value of 0.9833 between BL and CR against BW. The multiple linear regression equation between BL and CR had a coefficient of determination (R²) value of 94.48% with the regression equation Y = -1.017.89+ 5.50x1 + 3.83x2. In Limousin cattle, the correlation (r) between PB, LD, and BB is 0.9901. The multiple linear regression equation between PB and LD has a coefficient of determination (R²) in Limousin cattle.
