Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate feed consumption on the performances bali bull. The study was observed at Pulukan Breeding Center BPTU-HPT Denpasar. The bali cattle used were 7 bulls with the weight range of 378-476 kg. Parameters observed were feed consumption; morphometrics including chest size, shoulder height, body length, scrotal diameter; and reproductive performance of semen quality. Based on observations, the average DM and protein consumption of bali bull was 1.88% BW and 1050 g/head/day. The feed consumption resulted morphometrics on averages of CS 189 cm, SH 129 cm, BL 137 cm and SD 28 cm. Meanwhile, the semen quality showed 5.6 ml volume, a whitish cream close to the milk color, normal consistency, mass movement ++, and motility 50-65%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the feed consumed by bali bull at the Pulukan Breeding Center BPTU-HPT Denpasar has been able to produce good morphometric and reproductive performance.
