Kualitas semen sapi Friesian Holstein jantan muda (studi kasus pada satu ekor sapi perah jantan muda)

This study aims to determine changes in the ability of <2-year-old Friesian Holstein bulls to achieve semen quality. The research method was carried out starting from measuring scrotal circumference 3 times, determining libido starting when the bulls approached the females and the collection process using the artificial vagina method and evaluating semen quality 8 times. The parameters measured were scrotal circumference, libido, volume, pH, color, consistency, odor, mass motility, individual motility, concentration, viability, and abnormality. As age increases, libido shows a downward trend, while the size of the scrotal circumference and the quality of semen macroscopically and microscopically also shows an upward trend although it is still fluctuating so it can be concluded that the semen of <2-year-old Friesian Holstein bulls is not yet suitable for processing into frozen semen.
