Keragaman Genetik Dan Heritabilitas 2 Galur Tanaman Kedelai (Glycine Max [L.] Merrill) Dan 2 Varietas Pembanding

One of the important food crop commodities is soybean (Glycine max [L.] Merril), but local soybean production is still far below national needs. Therefore, the government took action by importing soybeans to close the gap between demand and soybean production in Indonesia. One of the government's efforts to increase national soybean production is by assembling superior soybean varieties. This study aims to determine the genetic diversity and heritability of 2 lines, namely GHJ-3 and GHJ-4, to produce new superior varieties that have high productivity. This study was conducted in October 2024 - January 2025 at the Jember State Polytechnic Experimental Field. The experimental design used was a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 7 treatment levels (GHJ-1, GHJ-2, GHJ-3, GHJ-4, GHJ-5, Wilis, DEGA-1) and repeated 4 times. The results of this study indicate that the 2 lines have narrow genetic diversity because the genetic variance value is smaller than two times the standard deviation of the genetic variance (σ2G < 2σσ2G), which means that each individual in the population is almost uniform and it can be indicated that the character consists of individuals with the same genotype. The results of the study also showed that the heritability value of the 2 lines had high criteria (> 50%) in all characters.
