Abstrak

One of the aspects in the design of the vehicle body is aerodynamics. When an object moves through the air, there is a force generated by the relative motion between the air and the body surface. The study of the forces generated by air is called aerodynamics. External aerodynamics is the flow around solid objects of various shapes, whereas internal aerodynamics is the flow through the inside of a solid object, for example the flow of air through a jet engine. Aerodynamics has a wide scope of application, especially in the field of automobile design, prediction of forces occurring on ships, in civil engineering as in the design of bridges and other buildings. The advantage of using a wind tunnel is that you can see the visible air flow so that you can see the turbulence. Experiments can be carried out in well controlled flow conditions as compared to experiments in an open environment. The material used is a liquid, namely vegeatable glycerin mixed with dyes. The smoke generator that we are going to modify is expected to emit smoke with the high fog output we want. The above references discuss the two basic types of wind tunnels and the two basic test section configurations. The two basic types of wind tunnels are open circuit and closed circuit. Of these two types have advantages and disadvantages.
