Pemanfaatan Bakteri Bacillus Subtilis Sebagai Efisiensi Penggunaan Pupuk Anorganik Phospat (P) Pada Tanaman Edamame (Glycine Max (L.) Merrill)

Edamame plants are a type of soybean originating from Japan that acts as a source of vegetable protein. In Indonesia, edamame productivity is still unable to meet export demand. The continuous use of inorganic fertilizers in cultivation has the potential to degrade soil quality, so a strategy is needed to increase edamame production with the efficient use of inorganic fertilizers, one of which is through the use of phosphate solubilizing bacteria (Bacillus subtilis). This study aimed to assess the role of Bacillus subtilis bacteria on edamame growth and yield by reducing the use of inorganic fertilizer P. The study was conducted on farmland in Kebonsari Village, Jember, from July to October 2024, using a non-factorial Randomized Group Design with five replications. The treatments consisted of five levels: (1) Bacillus subtilis 0 ml/L + 100% inorganic P fertilizer, (2) Bacillus subtilis 3 ml/L + 75% inorganic P fertilizer, (3) Bacillus subtilis 6 ml/L + 75% inorganic P fertilizer, (4) Bacillus subtilis 9 ml/L + 75% inorganic P fertilizer, and (5) Bacillus subtilis 12 ml/L + 75% inorganic P fertilizer. Data analysis was conducted using ANOVA followed by Dunnet test. The results showed that the treatment of Bacillus subtilis 12 ml/L + 75% inorganic P fertilizer gave a significant effect on the weight of pods per sample (109.4 g/plant), while the parameters of plant height, number of productive branches, number of pods per sample, and fresh biomass did not show significant differences.
