Program Urban Farming Pada Ibu Pkk Desa Manang Untuk Meningkatkan Pendapatan Keluarga Di Era Transisi Pandemi Covid-19

Every year the population is increasing, meaning that the amount of food needs also increases. However, this was not followed by an increase in the area of ​​rice fields, but in fact, many were converted into residential land. This makes households have to fulfill their food needs independently. An urban farming program can be carried out to deal with this by planting food plants in a bath in each house. Fulfilling food needs that have been fulfilled by urban farming will make people not always depend on food stocks in the market, even if the excess crops at home can be sold and used as additional income. Suitable partners to do this are PKK mothers who must be empowered, especially in the Manang Village area which is an area directly adjacent to the city of Surakarta. The method given in this community service program is by means of material counseling using online via google meets then followed by the implementation of urban farming activities in one of the PKK women's houses with the hope that the house can be used as a role model so that other PKK women in Manang Village can follow and practice in their homes. Community service activities that have been carried out remind the importance of providing an urban farming program and empowering PKK mothers, especially in Manang Village. This will provide deeper insights and knowledge, especially in the field of agriculture for PKK Manang Village mothers. Increased willingness of PKK Manang Village women who have implemented urban farming activities at home amounting to 20%. This value has indeed changed, but these changes are still low, so there is a need for monitoring, evaluation and follow-up on community service programs.
