Sejak awal 2000-an, konsep indikasi geografis (IG) telah berkembang dari mekanisme perlindungan hukum menjadi alat multifaset yang mengintegrasikan dimensi ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan. Indikasi geografis (IG) di pasar komoditas telah mendorong pembangunan pedesaan, melestarikan warisan budaya dan pertanian berkelanjutan Meskipun minat meningkat, tantangan tetap ada dalam memahami adopsi praktik berkelanjutan di antara petani dalam skema IG dan resistensi terhadap inovasi di bidang pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan penelitian seputar indikasi geografis, resistensi inovasi dan pertanian berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah System Literature Review (SLR). Dalam proses seleksi artikel, menggunakan pedoman PRISMA agar proses pencarian dan penyaringan artikel lebih transparan dan terstandar. Pencarian artikel dilakukan pada database Scopus, Web of Science, dan Google Scholar dengan total 190 artikel yang ditemukan. Dalam proses penghapusan duplikasi diperoleh 160 artikel. Tahap screening berdasarkan judul dan abstrak, mengeliminasi 82 artikel yang tidak relevan dengan topik penelitian. Selanjutnya dilakukan penilaian full-text, dimana 30 artikel dieliminasi karena tidak memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Dengan demikian, 48 artikel dipilih sebagai sumber utama dalam systematic literature review. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa sertifikasi GI umumnya meningkatkan keberlanjutan lingkungan, ekonomi dan sosial melalui tata kelola kooperatif dan kepatuhan terhadap standar kualitas, meskipun hasilnya bervariasi menurut wilayah dan komoditas. Adopsi praktik berkelanjutan difasilitasi oleh insentif, keselarasan budaya dan faktor perilaku tetapi dibatasi oleh inefisiensi kelembagaan dan kesenjangan pengetahuan. Perlunya kerangka kebijakan yang menyeimbangkan tradisi dengan inovasi, menggabungkan tujuan keberlanjutan eksplisit dan meningkatkan keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan di seluruh rantai nilai.
